During my time at Bearing.ai, I contributed to the design and development of several industry-first solutions for the maritime sector. This included designing complex tools from the ground up to address operational efficiency, compliance, and predictive analytics. My responsibilities included:
Smart Routing: Designed a routing tool for ships, leveraging Bearing.ai's accurate fuel models to optimize routes, reduce fuel consumption, and increase operational efficiency.
CII Compliance Monitoring & Simulation Tool: Designed a first-of-its-kind tool to help ship operators proactively manage and simulate compliance scenarios, improving decision-making and regulatory adherence.
Performance Analysis Tool: Designed a post-voyage performance analysis tool to monitor vessel fuel efficiency, accounting for factors like weather conditions and hull fouling.
Vessel Schedule Compare: Designed a comparison tool that acted as a precursor to the Deployment Simulator, allowing users to evaluate vessel performance across different schedules.
*Vessel Deployment Simulator: Designed this tool from concept to final design, which played a key role in securing Hapag-Lloyd as a customer.
*Cargo Prediction Tool: Created a predictive analytics tool to forecast cargo volumes across shipping regions, enhancing operational planning.
